Whether the damage is structural
Repairing bolt-on panels is only one part of an accident repair. When structural damage is involved, we use precision measuring equipment to accurately repair, straighten and align your vehicle, ensuring the job is done correctly, without guesswork.
Whether the panel can be saved
Metal panels can often be repaired effectively. With aluminium, plastic, carbon fibre and fibreglass, we carefully consider the repair method, time involved and overall result. In some cases, replacing the panel is the more appropriate and honest solution, rather than relying on excessive filling or repairs.
Parts
Repair timeframes are often dependent on parts availability. Where available, we use genuine OEM parts and keep you informed throughout the repair process regarding availability, backorders and expected delivery times, so you have a clear understanding of your vehicle's expected turnaround.
What the insurer will authorise
Once our repair quote is submitted, an insurance assessor will inspect the vehicle before repairs are authorised. As your nominated repairer, we manage this process on your behalf and work directly with the insurer to agree on a fair and appropriate repair plan, including the correct repair methods and parts required. Our priority is to repair your vehicle properly and to manufacturer standards, not to compromise quality by using unsuitable parts or cutting corners.

Panel work, then colour matched and baked in our own booth. Naz or Louis is across the job from the first assessment through to the final check.

You get the car back
Back to its pre-accident condition, and clean. Where you are entitled to one, we can help arrange a hire car, and drop-off or pick-up where it is needed.

Questions we get
The things people ask before they call
How long will the repairs take?
It varies with the availability of parts, how big the job is, and how quickly the insurer assesses it. On a simple repair we get the car back to you as fast as we can without cutting the repair short to do it.
Can I choose Fineline even though the accident was my fault?
If your policy includes Choice of Repairer, yes. That clause lets you nominate the repairer rather than take the insurer's allocation, and it applies to at-fault claims as well.
Do you deal with the insurance company for me?
Yes, and it does not matter who you are with. What we need from you is the claim number; the insurer will not talk to a repairer about your car until the claim exists.
Can I get a hire car?
Often, but the insurer decides it, not us. It depends on your policy and on whose fault the accident was, so ask us early.
Do you do restoration work?
No. We are a smash repair shop and we keep to accident and collision work.
