Family run since 1990
Father & Son. Built on Experience.
Naz and Louis are a father-and-son team who own and operate our boutique smash repair business. What started with Naz building the business from the ground up has grown into a partnership, with Louis joining his father side by side to now own, manage and run the business together. Two generations, one shared commitment to quality.

Where it started
Naz opened the business on Victoria Street in Brunswick in 1990 and ran it there for 35 years. He has spent more than 45 years in smash repair, and built the business around the same three things the whole way through: repairs done properly, straight answers, and customers who come back.
The second generation
Louis came into the trade in 2009. In 2012 the business was rebranded Fineline Autobody Repairs and he joined his father as a partner. Between them they have more than 60 years in the trade.
The move to Reservoir
After 35 years in Brunswick, we moved to our purpose-built workshop in Reservoir, designed specifically around modern smash repair. Our state-of-the-art facilities include a professional spray booth, precision chassis alignment equipment and an on-site paint mixing and colour-matching system. Every part of our workshop has been designed to deliver quality repairs, accurate finishes and the best possible result for your vehicle.
Still on the tools
Naz and Louis are both actively involved in the workshop and in every repair. From the initial quote through to the final inspection, the same people who assess your vehicle are involved in ensuring the finished repair meets our standards. It's our hands-on approach that allows us to maintain the personal service, attention to detail and quality our customers expect.
The claim, not just the repair
We specialise in managing not-at-fault claims and work with all insurance companies to make the process as simple as possible. Provide us with your claim details and we'll manage the insurance process directly on your behalf, from assessment through to repair. If your policy includes Choice of Repairer, you can also nominate us for an at-fault claim. Where you're entitled to a replacement or hire vehicle, we can assist with arranging one to keep you mobile while your vehicle is being repaired.
Quality over volume
We've deliberately chosen to remain a boutique smash repairer rather than a high-volume operation. By limiting the number of vehicles we have in the workshop at any one time, we can give every repair the time, care and attention it deserves. Our focus is simple: quality workmanship, attention to detail and returning your vehicle to the condition it was in before the accident.
Built on Trust
After more than four decades, our greatest achievement isn't the number of vehicles we've repaired. It's the trust we've built with our customers. Families who first entrusted their vehicles to Naz many years ago continue to return to us today, and that lasting relationship is something we're incredibly proud of.

Not only did they do a beautiful repair on my car, it was also returned to me immaculately clean inside and out. And on time. Ryan Hegarty★★★★★Nas and the team at Fineline were an absolute pleasure to deal with. I have no idea about cars, but Nas explained everything that needed to be done and the processes in a way that I could understand which helped put me at ease. Highly highly recommended if you ever need any body work done on your car.
